GAME unable to fulfil all Rock Band pre-orders
May 21st, 2008 @ 14:44
According to GI, GAME has warned some UK customers that they won’t be able to pick up Rock Band on Friday as the stock won’t be available to fulfill all pre-orders.
“As with other hugely innovative and popular titles like Guitar Hero and Wii Fit, Rock Band is creating enormous interest from a new range of customers,” a spokesperson for GAME told the site.
“This has meant that some of our stores have had to stop taking pre-orders because their launch stock of the Band in a Box pack has already been ordered.”
Rock Band is releasing as a timed exclusive for Xbox 360 in Europe this week. More through the link.

“As with other hugely over-priced games with ridiculously complicated yet cheaply mass-produced hardware items included, the Chinese are having immense difficulty getting more than one in twenty to actually function for more than four seconds. Therefore we’re fucked.”

I really hope that means there’s not much stock rather than people have actually decided to buy it at the price gouging RRP.

There’s been plenty of talk of a complete hardware balls-up. No smoke without fire, etc.
