Play.com offers gunmetal MGS4 PS3 in the UK
May 21st, 2008 @ 06:43
Play.com’s listing the limited edition gunmetal MGS4 PS3 as being for sale in the UK. It’s due for release on June 12, according to the retailer.
This is despite the fact that Konami said it was still waiting for confirmation on the issue back in April, and both Eurogamer and Gamespot ran confirmation stories yesterday and last night that the machine wouldn’t be put on sale here.
It’s a tangled web you weave, Play.com. We’ll try to get hold of someone over there later.

Forget about the gunmetal grey 40GB nonsense. When’s the 80GB version going to be released!!??

If it was 80GB with a dual shock I’d be all over it like a rash.

How they can possible have the gall to suggest that you should play MGS4 ‘without’ rumble when Kojima’s MGS games have made arguable the best use of the feature ever, is simply ridiculous.

I still can’t quite believe they’re not going to launch the DS3 before MGS. Don’t they like money? Surely they’ve got to get it on the shelves before then? Surely? It’s a no-brainer.

Maybe they want a proper “triple A” to get rid of as many Sixaxiseseseses as they can before they launch DS3. You won’t fool me, Sony.

It’s so boring, all this fart-arsing about not knowing what the fuck they’re doing. And frustrating too. I want to give you my money Sony, don’t you get it? Fucking sort it out already.

They’ve already started selling them in ‘double packs’. They should just launch the DS3 and discount the Sixaxis pads. I reckon they’d still sell ‘em if they were cheap enough, it’s not like they won’t work any more once the new pad is here.
