Soul Calibur IV out on August 1 in Europe
May 21st, 2008 @ 10:59

Ubi’s just officially confirmed that Soul Calibur IV will release for 360 and PS3 on August 1 in Europe. The fighter was previously thought to be hitting on July 31. Expect the date to be brought backwards and forwards at least twice more by a day or two before it actually comes out.

Not convinced myself. 1 was great, 2 was good, 3 was pish. That’s not what I call a good trend. Here’s hoping though.

I want it. Just to try. Just in case.

Ubi seem to have a reverse Midas touch at the moment, which makes me a bit concerned. Never played 1, but 2 and 3 were both great.

First one was best as it was “purest”. The second one was unbalanced. Lost interest by the third one.

Third one was really good. It was packed full of stuff, and the create-a-character feature worked quite well. It was much better than the second.

I’ve give the fourth one a waz, then.

I third one had terrible terrible A.I.
Much like most create a character modes the thing that you made lacked the polish, personality and charm of the proper fighters.
The quest mode was gimped.
3 was not a good game.
