Lanning confirms Oddworld title
May 27th, 2008 @ 12:12
Speaking to GI, Lorne Lanning’s confirmed that he’s involved with a new Oddworld game.
“I can confirm that we’re working with Jeff on Oddworld stuff, but that’s all I can say at this time,” he said.
His comment comes after Maxis co-founder Jeff Braun told a seminar at Wilfrid Laurier University that he was working with Oddworld Inhabitants on a new title in the series.

I played the first Oddworld on PSOne and thought it was great, then for some bizarre reason never played any of the other games.

Not my bag. I tried when Xbox first came out. I really did. But it just didn’t happen.

So Lanning is involved after all?
An Oddworld game without Lanning would like Mario without Shingy or MGS without Kojima. This has officially increased my interest in a new Oddworld game from “I don’t give a damn” to “this could be decent”

patlike: Did you play Munch’s Odyssey? That’s the worst of all the Oddworld games.
The others were all fantastic. =)

Yep, that was it. I’m pretty sure I didn’t play the other ones.

Although it was the worst it’s still very good.
