Ubidays 2008: Prince of Persia spin-off rumoured for Wii
May 30th, 2008 @ 07:29

According to this LiveWii report, Englishified by Cubed3, Ubisoft told the site during Ubidays 2008 yesterday that a dedicated Prince of Persia game was being created for Wii.
The Prince of Persia title showcased at the event is in the works for PC, PS3 and 360.
There’s no confirmation on this at the moment, and a Wii SKU certainly hasn’t been announced. Hope it’s true.

In a box-out in this month’s Edge preview they say they’re interested in doing something for the Wii but ‘not this game’, referring to the new one. So I wouldn’t be surprised to see something - they are doing a DS spin-off game after all.
They also hold their hands up and admit that the Wii port of Two Thrones was a quick and dirty hatchet job, which was somewhat unexpected.

Jeux-France are claiming this has been confirmed by Ubi now, although they’re not actually offering up any evidence.

As if by magic, the Edge article’s turned up on Next-Gen.biz if you want to read it:

The little box-out about the Wii doesn’t seem to be included though, sadly. It’s still a nice article, though.
