DFC says PS3 will pass 360 next year
June 3rd, 2008 @ 20:50
In its May games industry report, DFC Intelligence has predicted that PS3 will overtake Xbox 360 in terms of installed base next year.
“The Xbox 360 was unable to take advantage of Sony’s struggles to build the type of large lead needed to maintain a long-term advantage,” said the firm.
The reports reckon Wii will have the highest sales of this generation, which will surpass console sales in the previous cycle by 2011.

Are they joking? Surely they must be…

At least this has some chance of happening… it’s the ones that show the PS3 going on to crush the Wii in a magical generation where two leaders sell over 130m units each that freak me out.

Its not unreasonable that the PS3 could catch up to the 360 worldwide, while still lagging behind in the US.

People have been predicting this for ages. I doubt it’ll happen.

I can’t see this happening without some kind of massive Sony sales boost. They’re pretty much neck and neck sales-wise at the minute.
