Dragon Quest IX will sell 5 million in Japan, says analyst
June 4th, 2008 @ 06:54
Square Enix’s Dragon Quest IX, released for DS in Japan last November, will produce 20 billion yen ($190 million) in revenue from 5 million units, Cosmo Securities analyst Takashi Oka said in a research note yesterday.
“It’s not surprising Dragon Quest IX for the portable console sold twice as many units as a version for stationary game machines,” he said.
Cosmo switched its rating on Square Enix’s stock to “neutral plus” yesterday, a move that saw prices gain as much as 6 percent in trading.
Still no release date for DQIX in the west. More on Bloomberg.

I’m sure it will, yes.
That should be “DQIX in the West” in that last line, btw.
