Four new PS3 game and controller bundles announced for Europe
June 11th, 2008 @ 20:42
After getting our attention with the hotter than hot-cakes Metal Gear Solid 4 bundle, Sony has gone into overdrive by lining up another four bundle packs exclusively for Europe.
The games on offer are Folklore, Motorstorm, Formula One CE or GT5: Prologue complete with sixaxis controller.
Just to point out, these bundles don’t include a PS3. They’re just the game and a controller. We’re saying nothing.
Thanks Game-class.

Piss off Sony. The way you treat Europe is disgusting… yet we lap it up.
June 11th, 2008 at 10:41 pm
It’s ridiculous isn’t it?
June 11th, 2008 at 11:24 pm
Screw the bundles I want a Price cut.
June 11th, 2008 at 11:28 pm
The price doesn’t concern me too much right now, but the lack of BC, DS3 and any choice other than glossy black is rather annoying.
/weeps for cancelled gunmetal order at play
June 11th, 2008 at 11:32 pm
Agreed on BC and DS3. I’ve got a got a few PS2 games (Okami among them) still to play but I can’t bring myself to wind up my PS2 to play them. It just looks so awful on my TV. FFXII, for example, looked okay when still but as soon as you started moving the whole image exploded into a mess of chunky pixels.

It really is beyond a joke now. I’m simply not buying one whilst Sony insist on shovelling this shit (and only this shit) at us in Europe.
Looks like I won’t be buying one for a good while yet, then.
June 12th, 2008 at 12:10 am
I don’t think they care. Everyone else seems happy to buy one.

boo hoo
June 12th, 2008 at 7:56 am
I want a dual shock 3 controller.

NOBODY WANTS THESE BUNDLES, YOU BUFFOONS!
June 12th, 2008 at 8:32 am
Well, considering they’re selling really well in Europe (or so everyone says) then I guess people do want them.
June 12th, 2008 at 8:41 am
NOBODY WHO ISN’T STUPID WANTS THESE BUNDLES, YOU BUFFOONS!
June 12th, 2008 at 8:49 am
Better.
June 12th, 2008 at 8:52 am
This announcement has made me more determined not to buy one until they stop being dicks. And they almost had me as well.
June 12th, 2008 at 8:55 am
Last gasp at getting rid of Sixaxis, innit. Has to be.
June 12th, 2008 at 8:56 am
There’s still all the Sixaxis pads they didn’t manage to sell in Japan or the US for us to buy yet.
June 12th, 2008 at 9:04 am
why fucking palm them off to us though?
Sell ‘em all for a fiver and be done with it.
June 12th, 2008 at 9:11 am
Because we’re actually buying them?
I don’t know that they’re doing that, by the way. I just guessed, because it sounds like the sort of thing they *would* do.

Hey, Kotaku are saying these are just ‘game and pad’ bundles, not ‘console and game and pad’ bundles!
I surmised they were actually including a console. I guess they won’t be £300, then.

Edit: And they’re right! Look at the pictures!

Ah! Lost in translation there. Damn Google translate!
June 12th, 2008 at 10:14 am
Ja, we knew. Sorry, it wasn’t that clear. I’ve added a line to stress it.
June 12th, 2008 at 10:15 am
Shouldn’t you change the headline as well, given that there’s no PS3 included?
June 12th, 2008 at 10:16 am
I thought you knew, Mike? It said just the game and controller in the story. Is why I put it through, innit.
June 12th, 2008 at 10:16 am
Fair point. Have done so.
June 12th, 2008 at 10:21 am
/blames dog.
/deletes everyone’s negative Sony comments
June 12th, 2008 at 10:22 am
Trouble at t’mill!
June 12th, 2008 at 10:29 am
Sorry, that’s why I said it was a last ditch attempt to get rid of the controllers.
*builds bunker, kills self*

Are these fifty quid, then? That’s not really a very good deal. Most of those games are sub-£20 and the pads are going for £26-£28. You could probably buy game and pad separately for less than £45.
