The Metal Gear Solid Database that is currently available for download on the Japanese PSN has an English language option, so those of you with a Japanese account can grab it now.
We grabbed it earlier and the wealth of information is staggering. The whole thing is very well put together with links and images to every character from the old Metal Gear days to the present.
It also runs a check to see if you have completed MGS4 as it will withhold certain elements of the encyclopaedia in order to avoid spoilers.

The clear data check seems to be region locked; it’s not detecting my completed save.
