Rumour: Dark Cloud 3 in the works
June 19th, 2008 @ 20:36

According to this PSBeyond article, Italian magazine PSMania is rumouring that Level 5’s working on a new Dark Cloud game for PS3.
Dark Cloud, for the youngsters in the crowd, was one of the first PlayStation 2 titles, an RPG with windmills. That’s all we remember.
No idea if this is true or not. Probably not, to be honest.
Thanks, PS3F.

Dark Cloud was really good. Dungeons were dull, but town making was really rewarding and fun.

Psychotext: I also hear there’s a new video of Fable2.

Not entirely sure how that’s relevant… but ok!

Not only was the rumour originally sprung last October, but the magazine that it came from was an edition from 2006. I think we can safely say it’s not coming. More’s the pity, ‘cos I loved Dark Cloud, me.

Blerklol - Fair enough. I was drowning in spreadsheets then, so I’m kind of excused.

I’ve no idea why this one keeps boomeranging back every six months or so, all relating back to this single Italian magazine article over two years ago.
I’m pretty sure they must’ve actually been talking about White Knight Story, anyway.

You’re right Pat - Dark Cloud did indeed have windmills in! It was a bit repetitive though. Now Dark Cloud 2, that was properly ace (and, in fact, where that lovely artwork from the top of the story is from).
Wasn’t Rogue Galaxy sort of Dark Cloud 3 anyway?

Greek to me, Scratchy. I remember the first one, but not the second. I do remember the first one being a bit dull, to be honest.

I reckon VC247 would fall apart without me and Blerk keeping it honest.
