Zack & Wiki sequel looking unlikely
June 23rd, 2008 @ 21:29

Capcom’s Christian Svensson has said that Zack & Wiki fans shouldn’t hold their breath over a sequel.
“We’ve not announced another Z&W and I’m not so sure there will be one on any reasonable timeline,” he said.
So, the possibility of a sequel appearing sometime in the future isn’t completely closed. It’s just that it’ll be far into the future, from the sound of it.

Making a sequel to a game that sold about four copies to a user base of 60 billion is probably not very high on their schedules, tbh.

For anyone wondering why they can’t find the original forum post, it’s because Chris Svensson was writing prior to the Capcom Unity reboot: http://newlevelgaming.blog-city.com/no_zack__wiki_sequel_for_the_foreseeable_future.htm

Such as shame - Z&W is a great game. If anything it was let down by the not-exactly-lovable character design; the convoluted name on the box and the usual problem of there being zero awareness of what it’s actually about outside of readers of dedicated gaming websites and magazines.
Even if Z&W2 is never to materialise, I hope someone picks up on its ideas and takes them forwards.
