IGN goes hands-on with Crysis: Warhead, shots included
June 26th, 2008 @ 07:00

Update: There’s some more info on Tiscali Games, taken from PC Gamer.
Update 2: The first trailer’s been released. See here.
Here. All sounding good:
“In many ways Warhead is a different game than Crysis. The easiest way to think of Warhead is that it is Crysis with the action ramped up to 11. This promises to be a much more muscular shooter, with no shortage of huge firefights and explosions. In fact, the original Crysis may come off as being a much more cerebral experience in comparison. That game was about cat-and-mouse in the jungle, whereas Warhead is going to be about blowing that jungle up.”
There are some new shots through there as well.

I’ll take “blowing up the jungle”.
Although actually, I did enjoy playing Crysis at a slower pace, stalking the enemy and picking off guards when they strayed out on their own. Getting into a big firefight usually resulted in death. :/
Still it all sounds good and is almost certainly going to be a pre-order for me.

i enjoyed being a sneaky bastard in crysis … but not quiet as much as shoving a jeep into the wall of an enemy compound then killing everything that moved and lots of things that didn’t
