2K and Insomniac add themselves to the no trophies list
July 3rd, 2008 @ 20:19
Insomniac and 2K have added themselves to the list of developers shy on adding retroactive Trophy support, saying that neither Ratchet and Clank: ToD and Resistance: FoM will be getting patches.
Earlier today, Infinity Ward said that there would be no Trophies for CoD4.
Thanks PS3F.

Doesn’t mean we’re not getting trophies in future games ;). I wouldn’t go through the games again, but it’s a nice touch.

All their future games will have Trophies, definitely. All PS3 games from now will have it, I guess. Actually, that’s interesting. Microsoft makes developers put Achievements in 360 games. They have to have them. I don’t know if the same’s true for PS3 titles.

After playing SSDHD I would actually buy COD4 if it had trophy support. I am rather surprised how much trophies add to the (re-)playability and enjoyment of PS3 games. Comparing progress to your friends is nice and gives you a sense of continual accomplishment over and beyond just completing a game.
