Home is really going to be a suck it and see type thing.

I can see the appeal, you only have to look at the explosion of social networks and the success of second life to see why Sony have gone for this sort of thing. I just have trouble seeing the appeal after a cursory hour mess around.

It’ll be interesting to see how it goes though, I hope developers will come up with innovative stuff to make me want to use Home.

Sounds like it could be engaging, tbh. After all, Second Life is popular enough, why not Sony’s Home? There are plenty of people out there who would love to live vicariously as a hunk/babe in a simulated world. IMHO, this is the shape of things to come, for better or worse.

Based on what I’ve been hearing from Beta testers… this may be robust, but it wont be particularly interesting.

They’ve said all along, though, that Home’s launch didn’t correspond to the equivalent of a retail “release date”. They’ve been consistent with their message throughout, on this point.
