- Portopia Renzoku Satsujin Jiken
- Xevious
- Outer World (known as Out of this World in U.S.)

The Japanese luuuuuuurve Another World. Toyama, Suda, Ueda and Kojima are all fans - all of them were influenced by it in some way.

Another World was a brilliant game. I still remember wandering into the local game shop and seeing it running for the first time on their Amiga without knowing what it was. Jaw-dropping at the time, there was a crowd of people around it just watching.
I really like Xevious too. But I draw the line at Super Mario Bros.

Isn’t it bad form to list one of your own games in your influences? That aside, much respect for the Another World inclusion.

Super Mario Bros. series - that is not a game.
FAIL!

Is the list 1-5 or 5-1 up there? Either could make sense, arguably…
Except for the inclusion of Super Smash Bros. No, thank you.
