July 5th, 2008 @ 07:15
Well, there we are, then. According to this PSBeyond story, 1UP’s confirmed that Kratos won’t be included in Soul Calibur IV, as was previously rumoured.
The news comes from the latest 1UP podcast, which we’re not going to listen to because it’s 7.00am. You know how it is.

LOL. PlayStation Beyond.
Yeah, can’t see this happening. It was clearly only a rumour from the start, and I don’t see them just throwing random popular icons into the game for kicks… except for Star Wars characters obviously, which I still think is a completely ridiculous idea.

I like Vader being in it. Yoda too, obviously, but I don’t have a 360.
I think Kratos would be a good SC character. Also, throwing random characters in for kicks? Heihachi and Yoshimitsu are both in it, there really isn’t a reason for them to be in it other than referencing Tekken.

It was obivous it was a rumor. Gamoc, Heihachi was a guest character just like Yoda and Vader. You migth as well say Yoshimitsu is main character, sense he’s been in four of the five games.

I think both Kratos and the Prince of Persia would have been far better choices than Yoda and Darth Vader, but we all know which characters guarantee better sales.

I know it was obvious, I never once said I believed it. I’d still quite like Kratos in SC4 though, he’d make a good character.
