Rumour: DirectX 11 to be announced this month

According to this Fudzilla piece, Microsoft is to announce DirectX 11 at Gamefest 2008 later this month.
The Microsoft event takes place on July 22-23 in Seattle. No idea if this is true, but there we are.

nVidia haven’t even caught up with DX10.1 yet.

Constant progression. Shouldn’t really affect anything for a few years.

At least that would give Nvidia an excuse to why they can’t sell anything at the moment!
DX10 has been rather pointless so far, DX11 isn’t going to have much impact for quite some time either.
