Activision explains spilt from the ESA

July 10th, 2008 @ 15:17

Activision CEO Bobby Kotick has spoken out about why the company decided to leave the ESA, Variety reports.

Apparently, the departure was caused by nothing more than wanting a little time off from membership to help ease Activision’s merger with Vivendi, who also quit the organization back in May.

Kotick went on to say that due to the a fee increase caused by merging with Vivendi, the company wanted to make sure ESA was still the best option for the company.

The ESA seems to be struggling to hold on to its members this year: LucasArts, id, and Crave have also all left the organization in 2008.
