Confirmed: Dead Space release moved forward in US
July 14th, 2008 @ 11:50

EA’s confirmed that Dead Space will release on October 21 in the US, as was shown at the end of the Dead Space Loved Ones trailer at the weekend.
The new date applies to the US only - the horror will release on October 31 in Europe, as planned.
Thanks, Rob!

Kinda makes sense - the 21st is a Tuesday and games launch in the US on a Tuesday. The 31st is a Friday and games launch in the UK on a Friday. Of course, games launch in Europe on a Wednesday so that me…. what?

Incidentally, I just got around to watching the trailer and it’s pretty good. Got that whole ‘Event Horizon’ thing going on. I might have to change my mind on this one yet.

So EA wants us in Europe to wait 10 days? Guess what EA, I can pre-order from a certain Canadian online retailer (that would be videogamesplus.ca) cheaper, plus it’ll arrive well ahead of the following Friday. I’ll even expect it for Friday of that week because VG+ are just that brilliant. Thanks for thinking of us, EA!
(Yes, you just witnessed someone bitch about a 10 day delay
