Bethesda’s Todd Howard has just played Fallout 3 for the first time in public in Microsoft’s E3 press conference.
Howard showed the PipBoy 3000 w2ith various menus and its radio options.
“This is a game where you can play any kind of character you want,” said Howard.
Howard also showed the Vault Tech Assisted Targeting System (VATS) for turn-based combat, as well as real-time fighting. He used a shotgun, a laser rifle and pulse grenades, and showed environments in a “huge game,” as Howard described it.
More as it happens.

Anyone else massively disappointed with this showing. It looked a bit shit to be honest.
