New Halo game confirmed
July 16th, 2008 @ 09:37

Xbox head of Business, Don Mattrick, has confirmed to MTV that Bungie’s new title is indeed a new Halo game.
No direct quote is given, strangely, but Mattrick did apparently say that this is not the Peter Jackson venture: so it’s something completely new.
This is rather at odds with the decision that Microsoft took to postpone the announcement last night.
Don’t you just love E3?

What a shower of idiots.

Na… makes sense to postpone it for a bit.
You’d have to guess it was originally timed to counter Sony’s press conference, but after last night… they probably didn’t need to.
Better to let Sony wallow in the ‘meh press coverage for a while, then let Halo have the limelight later on.

I was referring more to how they’ve handled it. Cancel Bungie’s reveal yet announce some info anyway.

Yeah, it is a little bit bungled for sure. They’ll have to come out with it in the next few days now, presumably? I can only hope!
I’m betting it’ll be some form of pure multiplayer-based title.
