IGN managed to snag some Star Ocean IV details at E3 this week, revealing that the JRPG will in fact be a prequel. Apparently the game will let you travel to different planets, rather than just being “stuck in one world.”

They make it sound like all the other Star Oceans were set on a single planet. Did they even play SO3?
