Jimi Hendrix songs and likeness to feature in Guitar Hero World Tour

Someone at Neversoft would have a lot of explaining to do if Rock Band snagged the man who some call “the greatest guitarist of all time,” so this only seems fitting. According to CBC News, Jimi Hendrix will be joining Guitar Hero World Tour’s lineup – in more ways than one.
Most importantly, players will be able to tie their fingers in knots to two of Hendrix hits: “The Wind Cries Mary” and a live version of “Purple Haze” (!) recorded a mere year before his untimely passing. Other Hendrix tunes will apparently be available for download after the game’s release.
Additionally, history’s favorite lefty will be reborn through the marvel of technology, as a hideous, unsightly Guitar Hero avatar. Hey, we never claimed this was good news.

I can’t see how Guitar Hero isn’t going to emerge out of this as the winner this Xmas. There’s still a sterling lineup of artists and songs, the kit looks nicer and folds smaller, plus it all works in Rock Band. Rock Band 2 is system exclusive so is limited to 360 owners only.
