Vivendi revenue down 11% for first six months of the year

Vivendi Games has reported that total revenue for the first half of 2008 is down 11 percent compared with the same period last year.
Its 2008 revenue stands at €444 million so far, compared with 2007’s €500.
The company attributed the fall in income to success of The Burning Crusade during the first half of 2007, and noted that all areas of its business had been delivered a blow by what it describes as “unfavorable currency exchange movements.”
Vivendi officially merged with Acitivision earlier this month and later announced that UK job-losses were imminent.
