Live play now free for three games

July 28th, 2008 @ 21:13

Shacknews has done an amazing phone trick and called PR people to confirm that, as has been rumoured for the last day, some games are now free to play on Xbox Live.

Universe at War, Shadowrun and Lost Planet: Colonies Edition can now be played online with a Silver Live account.

All three games are cross-platform titles, allowing play between Xbox 360 and PC users. It’s believed - but not confirmed - that the move is part of Microsoft’s decision to stop subs for Games for Windows Live.

hmmmm a sign of things to come?

  2. Not likely - it is just because of the Windows Live move.

No, I mean some cross platform games being free, not Live itself.
