Wahlberg won’t play Max Payne due to “addictive personality”

Speaking to People.com, Max Payne movie actor Mark Wahlberg has said he won’t play the game itself because he’s scared of getting addicted.
“I didn’t want to play because I have an addictive personality,” he said. “I got more responsibility now than I’ve ever had with the kids and everything else. I don’t want to be spending 14 hours on the videogame and then eight hours on the set. It’s not going to work out.”
We reckon “14 hours” is probably wishful thinking, Mark. Film’s out next year.

Someone tell him it’s not an MMO.
Looking forward to the film after that trailer. There was a unique feel to the Max Payne games, a really bleak atmosphere and compelling story made it stand out. It was that, rather than the bullet time thing, that made it special imo.
If they can pull that off it could be a good film.

I reckon it’ll be good. The trailer was awesome. Angels, and everything.

Yeah, it looks really good. I’m glad they seem to be going away from the Punisher-knock off by adding the angel of death and all that symbolism.
When I first head of it I was like ‘oh man’, but when I heard Marky Mark was on board I became more stoked. He’s the real deal. He wouldn’t get involved if it was crap, I wouldn’t think.
