Someone PLEASE join, I’m all on my own!
Not a bad game. Like a cross between Battlefield: Bad Company and Lost Planet. Some completely mad over the top weapons, and it’s got jetpacks too.
Multiplayer beta is a little limited (not much in the way of maps but at least you get to cover 2 modes - deathmatch and a sort of rip off of BFBC’s Gold Rush but with power towers instead of gold boxes)

They were a bit quiet about this. Came from nowhere.

I can sort of see why, it’s very unpolished and in comparison to the likes of BFBC and COD4 it’s got a long way to go before it’s an essential multiplayer release.
That said, the damage stuff works really well (I love how the melee weapon is a sledgehammer - it’s like they WANT you to smash shit up!) and the lobby / friends / squad / clan system works a fuck of a lot better than Battlefield’s does.
Alas, I’ve got a horrible feeling that this one will end up getting overlooked. With the likes of COD5 on the way, plus new Battlefield content - and this supposedly not hitting shelves till Q2 2009, it’s a bit of a long way off. A public beta would help swell the sales though. And it’d also help me get into a few more games (most of the time with the beta at the moment, you’re just hanging around waiting for enough players to make a lobby and get a game going).
