“Ghostbusters will be published,” says Randel
August 6th, 2008 @ 19:14

In wake of the recent news that Ghostbusters: The Videogame has been put out to tender, Terminal Reality boss Mark Randel told videogaming247 today that the game will be published.
“Ghostbusters will be published,” said Randel. “That’s all I can say at the moment.”
Ghostbusters wasn’t the only Sierra casualty of the Activision Blizzard merger, with 50 Cent, World in Conflict and Brütal Legend all having to find new publishers as a result of the deal.

Please let this be cross-platform!

It was being developed as a multi platform title I believe, so I imagine that’s still the plan.
With it being a Sony property though, if it went anywhere exclusively, I imagine Sony would pick it up. Weren’t they one of the developers bigging up the PS3 hardware too?

I think the relationship between Sony Pictures (then Columbia) and Sony Computer Entertainment is not that tight. My understanding of Japanese firms is that they run these concerns as seperate companies, meaning that gaining the rights may not be as straightforaward as simply saying that it’s a Sony license.
Irrespective of that, I would still expect it to be multi-platform.
