Hearing lots of positives from the MMO journo kids. Most of them seem to think it’s going to be healthy.

i particularly like the sound of the collision detection aspect, melee characters physically stoping other melee characters getting at casters = good
shield walls ftw!

MMO’s do nothing for me. Absolutely nothing.
Well theres one VERY indie project MMO, that I know about. But that’s the onyl one. I find it hard to appreciate them even. I know it’s close minded, but I can’t help it.

I’d love to play it, tbh, but I’m playing WoW on and off, and I really don’t have time for anything else similar. I’ll try it next year, maybe.

Bit of WoW’s enough for me. I played EVE for six months last year then properly stopped. Never going back.

i sound worse than i am, i stopped playing WoW when TBC was released, i didn’t play anything for a while and then got back into EvE which i played briefly prior too WoW’s launch
only started WoW again a couple of weeks ago after trying AoC and being disappointed with it
my eve characters are on 90 day time codes which will expire this month (i’ll stick battleships 5 on when i do), might start playing again when i get bored of WoW / WAR
as for planetside, that’s a one month a year gaming fling

pat get some VG247 partnership lark going on
/me wants beta!
“On the subject of the standard edition pre-order in Europe. The EU pre-order for the standard edition begins on the 28th of August and the full details haven’t yet been announced for it. As Mark has said however the EU version won’t have the open beta access. This is mostly because we are instead going to be making open beta places available through partner websites in the different European territories instead. European communities are different to North American ones and we feel that this is the best way to support them and to give EU WAR fans the opportunity to take part in the open beta.”
