Wright interview: MMO hints, why “militant atheists” hate Spore, new projects “in the wings”
August 11th, 2008 @ 14:57

Eurogamer’s published an interview with Will Wright, covering a wide range of topics including a hint of an MMO, why “militant atheists” hate Spore, and promise of some new short-term games.
Have a nose. It is Will Wright, after all. Spore’s out at the beginning of next month.

Are they actually doing console versions of Spore, or did they forget about that after initially mentioning them?

They’re doing a Wii version, but that haven’t spoken about it at all yet.

So…. Are they actually doing proper console versions of Spore?

Fucking atheists, always with their scientific method.

“So…. Are they actually doing proper console versions of Spore? :-D”
hehe. That’s the question on my mind about this, too. Incidentally, also the thing that’s inclining me to hold off in September, on this. It seems too strong a no-brainer. Based on past performance, I think EA intend this to spread far and wide. I remember fluffy statements from a video interview question about console Spore, that could all too easily be interpreted as EA trying to maintain PC version sales.

I am gonna make a Spore game on LittleBigPlanet,
On a serious note, that’s a weird picture of him, he looks like an alien.

I took that

Well what can I say, you took one of the most personal pictures of Will Wright ever.
Multiskilled as a journalist and paparazzi.
