FFXIII demo may be sold separately
September 1st, 2008 @ 21:14

Bit sketchy this, but there we are. Finalfantasy-xiii.net’s reporting that Dengeki’s recent interview with FFXIII chap Nomura includes a quote that says the game’s demo may be sold separately.
The taster’s going to be included in the Blu-ray release of Advent Children: Complete in Japan next March, so reaction that you may be able buy it as a standalone product is likely to be mixed.

Selling demos again. Tut tut.

It’s one of the few games with which they could genuinely get away with it, I reckon. Bit shoddy, though.

Well, GT5P proved it could be done.

They can still shove it right up their arses. Sideways and with the corners sticking out.

Got GT5P sat on my mantlepiece. Still in the plastic.

Sorry but GT5P was well worth the slashed price for me.
£15 is nothing for such a full game that is getting updated with new cars and new options.
To be honest the extensive tuning options are why I play with it the most.
But I could never justify paying for a narrative driven demo.

I bought FFVI for the FFX demo*. And I bet it didn’t do Crackdown any harm having the Halo 3 beta glued on. I doubt I would have bought the demo on it’s own though. So I reckon they should bundle it with IU or something.
*FFVI was the better game in the end up anyway.
