Bungie’s Superintendent reappears

September 20th, 2008 @ 09:47

Last night, the Superintendent reappeared on Bungie.net revealing the blurred message, “Keep it clean,” followed by a transcript of some sort bearing the words, “Tokyo Rules.” You work it out.

Now, for those of you needing a refresher course, the Super’ was used a couple of months ago to tease Bungie’s next project which was confirmed as a new Halo title. However, this news only came to light after it was announced that Microsoft cancelled a “60 second, knock ‘em dead” reveal at this year’s E3.

Then, as recent as this week, rumours resurfaced that the game will be in fact announced very soon, possibly within the next seven days even.

Got all that?

So now we’re back to square one it seems. Expect the blurry image through the link to become clearer as time passes.

  1. No Chief, No Cortana? Not interested

    /is lying

  2. The WWU was on a Thursday. It was called a “rare” Thursday update. If you read the rumour linked above then Bungie and Rare are supposed to be revealing something next week.

Also the transcription through the Superintendent link says:

    RECEPIENT: PROWLER “TOKYO RULES” [COMM.DUTY.OFFICER]
[COMM.DUTY.OFFICER]: “We know. Personnel are en route. Can you–”
    [SUPERINTENDENT]: “DETOUR! PROCEED WITH CAUTION!”

So TGS and the detour is this EU event billed for next week?

  3. I’m probably reading too much into this and probably wrong.

Could they be holding an event in france ? (Detour de france)
:P Probably wrong it could just mean a detour

  4. I hope it’s something completely different.
