New countdown timer revealed on Bungie.net
September 25th, 2008 @ 07:27

It seems as though today’s the today we find out what all the fuss has been about. If you head over to Bungie.net you’ll notice that a new splash page has appeared with a countdown timer in the bottom right hand side.
The timer will run out at 3:07 GMT (just under eight hours from the time of writing) and will presumably reveal just what Bungie has had up its sleeve the last couple of months. We know it’s Halo, we just don’t know what kind of Halo it will be.
All will be revealed shortly. Please remain calm.

Just realised, 3:07 pm GMT is 7:07 am PST. Bungie’s favourite number.
HAIL TO THE CHIEF!

I’m like a child on Christmas Eve. I can see the present but I can’t open it for hours yet.

Will this be a huge disappointment like the Nintendo 64 was, though?

Should be interesting to see what they’ve been up to.

You know what I’d really like them to do?
Something like Mass Effect, in the Halo universe. Proper FPS RPG job. Could be built around ONI, have you playing as a Spartan III.
That could be interesting.

I’d like them to do something that wasn’t Halo.
