We’ve now been told this three times in the past 24 hours: Sony will not show the new Team ICO game at Tokyo Game Show this week.
Our sources are solid, ladies and gentlebeans, so put your faith in this one.
Do keep your eye on the Microsoft keynote, though: that Halo Bungie “rumour” is getting firmer by the second.
Don’t say we didn’t warn you.

Bugger. Sony are supposed to have something like 14 games to unveil though, so hopefully there will be something quite special in there, but still, the lack of team ICO’s new title is hardly welcome.

Team Ico are definitely working on something (I think it’s actually 2 or 3 games), I wish they’d show something already. I swear, when I see their games I will need to change my pants afterwards.

I believe this. I’d guess that they’re simply not ready to show it. Maybe they think their line up is strong enough without it, and they can save it for a boost at another time.

Maybe THEY THINK their lineup is strong enough without it. They’re probably just not ready to show it, no big deal. Whenever it’s ready, I’ll look forward to it.
Although I kind of hope they keep delaying it just so I can LOL at Pud.

It’s surprising how inconsistent Sony is in these matters. They quite happily announce MAG with a wonky pre-rendered ‘this is what it might look like when we’ve actually written it’ video.
But then you have game like this that people are furiously anticipating and they won’t even tell us what it’s called. Or when it might be done. Or what it’s about. Or that it’s actually in development.

Indeed, its already confirmed to be in development, and i guess thats all that really should matter, wether they show it or not, dosnt mean they’ll finish it any faster, and why release a CG target-render when all Sony ever gets is criticism from doing that?

I think if it’s not gonna be revealed at TGS, it will most likely be revealed in next months EGM.
They have this super massive reveal in their next issue stating the announcement is bigger then Manhattan with a pic of a field of flowers with a Sundial.

Now, look at where that sundial is pointing at (in the scan), it’s pointing at 3. And that picture is a Team ICO esque screen so thats more then likely to be it should it not be at TGS.

So that’s pretty cool.
But yes, I know Sony have a TGS lineup that is good enough with what they have to announce but Team ICO man!!!

Let’s face it though, they don’t NEED to announce anything.
Just think, where’s the fun in making an official TGS announcement when you can make Team Ico fanboys go absolutely nuts with supposition for another year or so.
(In all honesty, Team Ico could do a fucking Kart racer next and I’d probably still buy it)
