Tom Clancy’s End War VIP 360 demo is (finally) live
October 11th, 2008 @ 19:00
Ubisoft has sent an email informing us that the Tom Clancy’s End War VIP 360 demo has finally gone live, and as a reward for your patience you get an extra VIP key for a friend. Isn’t that nice.
“We apologize for the repeated delays on the EndWar VIP demo and we are pleased to confirm that the demo is now LIVE!!” says the mail. “As a thank you for your continued patience we are sending a second code for you to share with a friend.”
So check your inboxes and get downloading all 1.6Gb of it. And no, you can’t have our spare code.
Thanks, BraveArse.

I just opened the e-mail and found a load of messed up code at the top, and a pic of earth at the bottom followed by black, to see the text i was forced to high-light it… Very Odd…

yeah i had that too - you’d think they had enough time with all these delays to get an html email properly coded.

Yeah me too. Took me ages to work out I had to highlight the page and my code would appear.
I doubt I’ll be able to get on it tonight. Tomorrow though perhaps. My tag is: runnersdialzero

Anyone managed to setup their headset in-game? No matter what i do its all just static, sending an audio message is perfect, as is talking to someone, no idea whats up…
EDIT: after just leting it sit there whilst i check the internet, it decided to stop its static shenanigans, no idea what just happened.

I’m mildly disappointed by it. Is there any way to bring up a top down strategy view? I quite like being in the thick of it - but sometimes I just want to look at a map and figure out who’s where.
The voice stuff is exceptional tho.

You can press ‘back’ to bring up a tatical map, but thats it. I agree with you, its not that great really, the camera sucks, plain and simple, its only real interesting feature is the voice command.

It’s such a shame - The theatre of war stuff sounds great. I loved that concept in ChromeHounds - but it’s utterly pointless if the gameplay itself is uninspiring at best.
For a demo - it’s really poor. It just leaves you in the dark.
