Update: PSP Firmware 5.00 is now also live.
Sony’s put PS3 Firmware 2.50 live in Europe, as promised. We’re downloading as we type.
There are already a slew of reports live saying the update is up in the US.
The update includes the ability to take in-game screenshots, among plenty of other things, all of which are detailed here.
Go get it.

Seems to work fine. The auto-offs do what they say on the tin, and scene search is excellent. Flash 9 allows the use of certain video sites like (ahem) Gametrailers and EGTV

The auto controller off will be a Godsend. It’s taken nearly 2 years, but they’ve finally done it.

Flash 9 eh? That is rather good.

We got any info on how the screenshot tool will work exactly? Just printscreen with a keyboard in supported games?

did you already notice that your site (vg247) is no longer rendered correctly on the new PS3 browser? The left column is overlapping the center one.

Great!
I’m no HTML expert but it looks like the error is in your .css-file.

… the “thickbox.css” to be precise.
