Pick up the second installment of the Plant and Zombie themed shooter inspired by the popular side scrolling base defense game. Phew.
A third person shooter with a great sense of humor, Plants Versus Zombies; Garden Warfare allows you to take your base defending to the third dimension with mobile, battle capable plants to wage war against the hoards of zombies that want to break into your house. Although not released yet, there is an amount of information available about the game. All game modes are returning from the original as well as a few new modes. New classes, both zombies and plants, will be available as well as multi player support for up to twenty four players. The game is slated to be released in 2015.
Plants versus Zombies; Garden Warfare 2 is a first person shooter that keeps with the themes of the popular base defense game in that you play as a plant and wage war against zombies. There are game modes where you can play as the zombies as well, battling against the plants. All eleven game modes from the original game are present as well as a few additional modes of play. Most modes are paradies of other game modes. Taco defense, for instance, has teh zombies trying to steal a taco from Crazy Dan's Taco Stand and bring it to a flying saucer while the plants are trying to prevent the same. Even though the sense of humor is everywhere, the game is a serious first person shooter with lots of options, characters to level up and upgrade as well as additional characters to unlock to play. The depth of the game coupled with the diverse multi player modes and different playable classes makes this a serious game.
Unlike the base defense game that prompted both of these first person shooter games, Plants Versus Zombies: garden warfare 2 is fully 3D and it looks great. The game is colorful and vibrant as well as somewhat comical which fits the game perfectly. Sound and effects in the original are spot on and one can assume that the same level of professionalism will be used in the sequel. There isn't a story, but this isn't that kind of game. Playing through the single player missions will have the player presented different challenges in order to gain experience and advance. Plants Versus Zombies: Garden Warfare 2 has a high level of polish and has a great presentation.
